“A kingdom man is the kind of man that when his feet hit the floor each morning the devil says, ‘Oh crap, he’s up!’” So begins this powerful volume from Dr. Tony Evans, now in softcover. Tony believes that God wants every man to be a world-changer. He skillfully takes readers along a journey through the principles of biblical manhood, exploring how those who live, work, and minister around a kingdom man benefit from his leadership and care. Men will be challenged to fully understand their position under God as well as their position over what God has given them. Equipped with these concepts, they can actively pursue ways to maximize and develop the character qualities of biblical manhood in their lives. As Tony contends, the enemy doesn’t want you to know it, but you’re not the man you think you are. You’re a whole lot more. Starting now, you can be a kingdom man.

The Kingdom of God Is Within You is the non-fiction magnum opus of Leo Tolstoy. The book was first published in Germany in after being banned in his home country of Russia. It is the culmination of thirty years of Tolstoy's Christian anarchist thinking, and lays out a new organization for society based on a literal Christian interpretation. The title of the book is taken from Luke 17:21. In the book Tolstoy speaks of the principle of non-violent resistance when confronted by violence, as taught by Jesus Christ. When Christ says to turn the other cheek, Tolstoy asserts that Christ means to abolish violence, even the defensive kind, and to give up revenge. Tolstoy rejects the interpretation of Roman and medieval scholars who attempted to limit its scope. "How can you kill people, when it is written in God’s commandment: ‘Thou shalt not murder’?” Tolstoy took the viewpoint that all governments who waged war are an affront to Christian principles. As the Russian Orthodox Church was—at the time—an organization merged with the Russian state and fully supporting state's policy, Tolstoy sought to separate its teachings from what he believed to be the true gospel of Christ, specifically the Sermon on the Mount. Tolstoy advocated non-violence as a solution to nationalist woes and as a means for seeing the hypocrisy of the church. In reading Jesus' words in the Gospels, Tolstoy notes that the modern church is a heretical creation: "Nowhere nor in anything, except in the assertion of the Church, can we find that God or Christ founded anything like what churchmen understand by the Church.”

Mighty Men of Valor have three distinct characteristics; strength, courage, and passion. In this Bible study we unpack the first characteristic, strength. Men need strength that comes from God alone, the kind of strength He gave men like Gideon (who lived at a time when everyone did what was right in their own eyes), David and his band of mighty men, and Jesus' early church followers. The world, the flesh, and the devil wage constant battle against us and seek to usurp God's rule over His creation. To fight these enemies, God calls and empowers men to be Mighty Men of Valor. Gideon is one such example. "The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!" (Judges 6:12, NKJV). As the angel of the Lord greeted Gideon in Old Testament times, He invites you to become one of God's choice warriors. He will use the 10 lessons in this compact Bible study to help point the way. You'll be guided on this journey by men from Scripture as well as church history and the present day who will serve as mentors of godly strength. You'll also journey deep into the "living and active" word of God (Hebrews 4:12), which He will use to shape you in this process. God is calling us to develop our "spiritual muscles" of love, winning others to the kingdom of God, and building them up in Christ. That's what Mighty Men of Valor: Book 1 - Strength is all about. As with the additional Bible studies in this series-Mighty Men of Valor: Book 2 - Courage and Mighty Men of Valor: Book 3 - Passion-this study can be used in three essential ways. Use these studies as a daily devotional. We strongly encourage every man to take time out for a daily meeting-or appointment-with God. Work through these studies with another man. Think of this as walking "Side-by-Side," meeting weekly for mutual growth, support, and accountability. Connect with other men in a triad or small-group setting. Think of Jesus, who invested in a small group of 12 men, guiding them on the spiritual journey. Make A Mark Ministries is a ministry of Sure Passage

In 1879 the USS Jeanette set sail from San Francisco to cheering crowds and a frenzy of publicity. The ship and its crew, captained by the heroic George De Long, were heading for glory and the last unmapped area of the globe: the North Pole. But it was not long before the Jeanette was trapped in crushing pack ice. Amid the rush of water and the shrieks of breaking wooden boards, the crew found themselves marooned a thousand miles north of Siberia with only the barest supplies, facing a seemingly impossible trek across the endless ice. Battling everything from snow blindness and polar bears to ferocious storms and frosty labyrinths, the expedition battled madness and starvation as they desperately strove for survival. With twists and turns worthy of a thriller, In the Kingdom of Ice is a spellbinding tale of heroism and determination in the most unforgiving territory on Earth.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Amid much danger, and in obedience to prophecy, the young, mute elf girl, Ema, is taken eastward by her companions to the greatly troubled Kingdom of Men. Along the way, they are hunted by many, including the most evil and dangerous of all, Seleicidor, a Nethelim giant of unbelievable strength and destruction. Many great exploits are done and amidst them all, the true greatness of Commander Lance begins to shine. Indeed, during the battles in the Kingdom of Men, Lance surpasses the achievement of any other man in single combat, even amongst the elders. Of such note is this mortal elf that even the composure and desires of the legendary elder Queen Jasha are greatly affected by Lance who, though a mortal, is perhaps the greatest leader and warrior to have ever lived. Through her favor with the Elder-Beasts, Ema also achieves great things and her destiny, while quite different, is no less than that of Lance, and both of these mortals will eventually marry legendary and ruling elders, a thing virtually never heard of before. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Bob Spark was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1954. He was raised in the Anglican Church but rebelled during his teen years. He did not truly come to follow Jesus Christ until his early twenties. It was always his desire to write, so beginning in the 80s, and over the next twenty years, Bob began to create, shape, and build the history, characters, and storyline of the Twins of Prophecy. The tale grew and the characters became so real that even though he had created them, he also laughed and wept with them. It was his desire to write a story that was not overtly Christian, yet was a novel of grandeur, of deep struggle, and of great moral excellence. Time alone will tell if he has even just begun to achieve such noble aspirations. Bob now lives alone in a small country town north of Melbourne. He enjoys keeping fit, running, biking, and walking regularly. In addition to improving the old property he lives on, Bob chiefly spends his time studying, writing, and discussing biblical theology. Bob has two adult children, David and Anna, who both live in New Zealand.

In a mist-shrouded valley on China's invisible border with Tibet is a place known as the 'Kingdom of Women', where a small tribe called the Mosuo lives in a cluster of villages that have changed little in centuries. This is one of the last matrilineal societies on earth, where power lies in the hands of women. All decisions and rights related to money, property, land and the children born to them rest with the Mosuo women, who live completely independently of husbands, fathers and brothers, with the grandmother as the head of each family. A unique practice is also enshrined in Mosuo tradition - that of 'walking marriage', where women choose their own lovers from men within the tribe but are beholden to none. Choo Waihong, a corporate lawyer who yearned for escape, ended up living with the Mosuo for seven years - the only non-Mosuo to have ever done so. She tells the remarkable story of her time in the remote mountains of China and gives a vibrant, compelling glimpse into a way of life that teeters on the knife-edge of extinction
